Do I need an account? No. Your saved places, home base and settings stay on your phone.
Does the app use my location? Only if you allow it, only while the app is open, and it is never sent to us. The app works fully without it.
Are opening hours and transit times live? No. They are reviewed planning estimates. Check the venue and official MTA service status before you go; the app links to both.
